As usual, I leave it late for these things. I only found out last friday I was going to expo. That left me a solid two weekends to start and complete a Rurouni Kenshin costume I'd been meaning to start for weeks and weeks, and have finished for the Leeds november thought bubble. But no, fate mocks we with my mother and her ability to swing convention holidays and I find myself in a mad scrample to ballance a heavy college schedule and a costume. I managed it with 2 weeks and a Lust costume last year, but that was with a secondary school that was thirty minutes away on foot (walking pretty slow) This time however, I leave at 7:20 every morning, and I'm lucky if I'm home to see six o'clock. Then of course there's the 4 hours of nightly homework which I TOTALLY complete.

But, bitching and such aside, costume is nearly done - with much help from beloved grandmother - and looks pretty awesome, I think. Plus I have a better sword than I hoped; I found a black Bokun at the last minute that's the right size, as opposed to the sword I'd planned to take, a smaller, more wakizashi (?) sized red-ish wooden one. So I'll look forward to seeing some people there, hopefully, And I'm crossing fingers that I won't be the only Rurouni Kenshin character there...
